Drive Log: August 11-12, 2012

Early morning along I-45

Still on I-45, with a beautiful view of Dallas

On the road, one could never go wrong with Arby's. Wichita Falls, TX.

Still on Hwy 287.

Day ended with a wonderful cloud and sunlight show in Amarillo.

Early evening on Hwy. 287; headed back to Houston.

2010 Marin Hawk Hill

Three months ago, my wife and I bought a pair of Marin MTB's just to try biking out. After our first ride at Huntsville State Park, we both fell in love with riding and decided to head out to trails frequently. Sadly though, with busy weekends and laziness, we only rode one more time before my bike was stolen yesterday. 

I don't think we could afford a new bike soon. So mountain biking will have to take the back seat for now. Maybe a cheap single-speed road bike for the time being? Tempting.
